Scott (aerialphoto) > May 19 2009 - built a level-converter/cable for my little camera-powered Byonics GPS2. The level converter uses a single transistor and is housed in the serial cable's connector-hood. The cable supplies power to the GPS from the camera, but can be used with almost any other NMEA-capable GPS.

Scott (aerialphoto) > May 3 2009 - my first full blown electronic design, a microprocessor-controlled camera interface for aerial cameras. It allows my PC software to run a variety of aerial cameras (including Nikon digital cameras), plus provides the appropriate signals to run the forward-motion-compensation on Zeiss and Leica cameras. It started as a programming concept and slowly evolved.

Scott (aerialphoto) > 2/3/09 - What a nothing picture. Right? This is "Central Ave" in Palm Coast Florida. There's about a mile of road like this, lined with ornamental streetlights, parking spaces, what looks like bus-stops, sidewalks, and landscaping. Around it is nothing but open space. It's a long-term project with lots of different things slated to be built. Right now? It's just weird.

Scott (aerialphoto) > 1/22/09 - The Twinkie. Today I carried a Twinkie to 13000ft (unpressurized). Unless the seals are broken, small packets of food always expand out and "pillow". The Twinkie expanded out into a nice hard pillow but didn't burst. The Twinkie remained intact and unharmed until it became a yummy snack moments later. Never fear, they'll make more. Here's another view
Scott (aerialphoto) > 1/20/09 - Ruins of the Dummett Sugar Mill, dates back to the early 1800s. I pass by this place all the time and decided to take a snapshot this morning. When I got out of the car there was a huge wild hog behind a tree. The woods are loaded with them around here. When I stood to take this picture he slowly came up to me but ran like lightning when I moved to take his picture. Maybe next time.
